This question led to the birth of the Global Islamic Parenting Network (GIPNet) at the Global Association of Islamic Schools (GAIS) Conference in 2024. It emerged in response to growing concerns about parenting within Muslim families and its direct impact on children and Islamic schools.
Ahmad Fakhri is an engineer-turned human capital strategist, international speaker, and parenting thought leader with over 40 years of experience across engineering, HR transformation, and leadership development. Beginning his career with Shell technical positions, he later transitioned into regional HR leadership across Asia Pacific and the Middle East. A certified executive mentor and behavioural profiling expert, he is also a co-author of parenting and public speaking books. As co-founder of the Global Islamic Parenting Network (GIPNet), Ahmad advocates that home is the first leadership incubator, equipping parents and educators to raise confident, values-driven future leaders grounded in belief, character, and purpose.
Jamilah Samian is the co-founder of the Global Islamic Parenting Network (GIPNet) and a Malaysian parenting author and speaker. She has written books including Cool Mum Super Dad, Cool Boys Super Sons, The Kindness Miracle, Leadership in Parenting, Raise Me Right, Parenting Generation Y & Z, and 77 Power Parent Tips, offering practical guidance for families and educators. She holds a Master’s in Dakwah and Islamic Management, a Bachelor of Psychology (Cum Laude), a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Mathematics, and a Diploma in Journalism (Distinction). Accredited by HRDC (Human Resource Development Corporation, Malaysia), which recognizes qualified trainers for professional courses, she founded Cool Mum Super Dad Consultancy and mentors parents, teachers, and leaders through workshops in Malaysia and internationally.
Kathryn Jones is the founder of Back to the Fitrah Mentoring Academy and an award-winning educator passionate about nurturing spiritual and emotional resilience. She works with Islamic schools, parents, and communities to align education and parenting with the Fitrah, the natural state created by Allah. Through her pioneering Fitrah Focused Approach, Kathryn trains and certifies educators, mentors, and coaches globally to support the well-being and growth of Muslims, adults, children and youth. Hearts transform, relationships strengthen, and families and school communities confidently navigate modern challenges with wisdom, compassion, and unshakeable trust in Allah’s guidance.
Lubna Moazzam is a parenting mentor and community educator. She began her path as an educator in 1998, working closely with parents and youth across diverse educational settings. She is a passionate O-Level and IGCSE Chemistry teacher, recognised for clarity, structure, and calm guidance. Grounded in an Islamic worldview, she designs and conducts youth programmes focused on character building, ethical awareness, world affairs, and the responsible role of youth in today’s challenges. Parents and students seek her counsel for subject selection and career planning. As a mother of three, including experience with homeschooling, she brings wisdom shaped by both professional practice and lived parenting.
Zahra Yusuf is one of the founding mothers of Al Hidaayah Academy, an Islamic secondary school founded in 2016, that is rooted in the philosophy of nurturing the whole child to thrive in a dynamic world.
She is also a co-founder of Sisters Halaqa Foundation, a non-profit non governmental organization dedicated to addressing issues affecting women, children, and the Muslim ummah at large. The foundation conducts a range of programs including women’s development initiatives, teen development programs, and premarital and marital counseling.
Zahra has a deep interest in Islamic tarbiyyah and its transformative power in reforming the ummah, one individual at a time. A student of knowledge, she is particularly passionate about tadabbur of the Qur’an, drawing lessons, principles, and lived guidance from its teachings to inspire personal and collective reform.
She is a wife and the mother of five.
Datin Dr Sabariah Faridah binti Haji Jamaluddin is a prominent Malaysian educationist specialising in early childhood and integrated Islamic education. She holds a PhD in Early Childhood Care and Education from Universiti Tun Abdul Razak, a Master in Education (Early Childhood) from UNITAR, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Carleton University, Canada.
She is best known as the Chief Academic Officer of Little Caliphs International, where she developed the Little Caliphs® Programme, an internationally recognised preschool curriculum that integrates Islamic values, creativity, and English-based learning. Datin Dr. Sabariah is also the Founder and Executive Director of Integrated Islamic School Shah Alam (IISSA) and a Founding Patron of the Integrated Islamic School Network (IISN).
Her career includes roles as a lecturer, teacher trainer, curriculum consultant, and advisor to Islamic schools locally and internationally. A strong advocate of holistic, Quran-centred education, she believes in nurturing belief, character, leadership, and academic excellence from an early age. She is also a mother of five and an active contributor to the Islamic education community.

GIPNet aims to become a global repository of Islamic parenting resources: a centralised, multilingual platform offering books, videos, toolkits, and structured programs designed for today’s Muslim families.
